I got my Telcare Blood Glucose Monitoring System in the mail today!
If you haven’t heard of this new product yet, here is a quick overview:
Telcare is the world’s first cellular enabled blood glucose monitor. It automatically and securely uploads your results to an online portal for you, your Dr., etc to view.
Send your patient or child helpful messages that appear right on their screen and receive a text when your child tests his/her glucose at school.
My first impressions:
Finally! A meter that thinks beyond just the test and makes recording easy.
The first and most important question to ask is “How accurate is Telcare?”
That looks accurate.
Moving on.
The unit feels solid in my hand and has a beautiful screen.
The menus are clear and easy to use. There are 3 buttons. Up. Down. Select. Couldn’t be simpler.
Telcare comes with a mini-USB charger. When you leave your house without it, you can use any of your other mini-USB chargers to stand in.
Now the breakthrough stuff:
Every time you test, Telcare uploads your result to your personal web portal. There you can look at all your results in a variety of numeric and graphical manners.
I am excited to use Telcare more and let you know how it goes. I will post a full review after I use the meter and learn all the ins and outs.
In the meantime go over to telcare.com for more information.
