I just got back from the eye Dr.
Let me add my A1C is 6.4.
Order of events:
1-dilate eyes
2-wait 1 hour
3-see Dr.- who after shining bright lights in my eyes, orders photos to be taken where even brighter lights will be used.
4-as photos are taken, florescent dye is injected into my vein (I didn’t pass out this time!)
5-“So, your sugars are stable. Great. Lets set up an appointment to laser your left eye,” said Dr.
6-Reaction ‘WTF? I thought being in good control was good thing,” said patient.
Apparently after having A1C of 7 – 8 for so many years the change damages. Better in long run. Not feeling that right now.
